Info

Original Cast starred Ed Wynn & Ruth Etting (Who joined the company twenty-four hours before the New York Opening.)

The song "Ten Cents A Dance" was written to order in 3/4's of an hour for Ruth Etting.

The song "Dancing On The Ceiling" which eventually was thrown out of Simple Simon appeared in the show Evergreen in London, during the same year. The song was also banned for a long time by the radio networks. Although Rodgers and Hart tried to find out why, the closest answer they got was because of the use of the word "Bed" in the song.
