Info

Though commercially unsuccessful the show received praise for its structurally complex and superbly engineered set. It has been recognized as one of the most technically adventurous musicals ever staged.

Original Cast included: Judy Kuhn, Graham Bickley, Megan Kelly, Jonathan Adams, Robert Fardell, Brian Blessed, Lucy Dixon, Colin Fay, Lindsey Danvers, Paul Keown, Stifyn Parri & Kevin Power

The show cost 80,000 pounds a week to run. This figure lead to the shows
demise, as the Piccadilly theatre had 1001 seats and it had to play to a maximum
capacity to generate the necessary cash. The show closed owing its Japanese
and American backers 2 million pounds!!
