Misc. Show Information
The song My Heart Stood Still was originally written for a London show and had to be bought back for $5000 to be put in A Connecticut Yankee.
The song Thou Swell left the audience cold after the show opened in Philadelpha and after 3 weeks it still hadn't grown on anybody but Richard Rodgers insisted it be left in the show until it opened in New York, They never considered removing the song again.
The song To Keep My Love Alive was added to the show 15 years later and was written for Vivienne Segal. 3 other additional songs were added to this production also.
Revival: 1943 and ran for 135 performances.
The 1943 Revival opened only 5 days before Lorenz Hart's Death.
